We would like to provide an update about Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre services as a response to the COVID 19 virus.

First, we are committed to ensuring our most vulnerable are supported in the community. As part of this commitment we are part of the Social Needs Response working group coordinated by United Way Eastern Ontario to ensure that supports are reaching those who need it. 

In keeping with the guidelines recommended from Ottawa Public Health, we have suspended all of our face to face programming.  We will continue to provide phone support and are exploring creative options for virtual programming. We are reaching out by phone to our vulnerable clients and checking in on them. 

Our sites in Nepean, Fitzroy Harbour, and Constance Bay are now closed. We have reduced our hours at MacNeil Court building to Monday to Friday from 8:30-4:30 pm and will have limited on site staffing. Chrysalis House continues to operate 24/7, although we are currently halting our intake of any new clients.
