Our 40th Anniversary
Celebrating 40 Years of Care and Community
In 2026, the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) proudly celebrates 40 years of serving our community. Since our founding in 1986 – by local residents responding to a shared need – WOCRC has remained rooted in providing community, connection, and care to the residents of western Ottawa.
For four decades, we have worked in service of individuals and families across western Ottawa, supporting them at every stage of life, buildin
g a healthier, more inclusive, and resilient community. Today, we serve more than 10,000 community members each year through a wide range of health and social programs.
We are so excited to celebrate this important milestone with the people who matter most to us: our clients, volunteers, partners, community leaders, staff, and western Ottawa community members! This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on our shared achievements, celebrate the people who make our work possible, and look ahead to the future we will continue to build together.
