Health Promotion

Our Health Promotion Team partners with key rural communities across West Ottawa to strengthen overall community health and well-being. Together, we work to:

  • Develop and implement health promotion strategies that empower individuals and support positive health outcomes across the region.
  • Engage priority populations to identify health and social concerns, fostering community-led solutions and building local ownership.
  • Collaborate with neighbourhood medical clinics as part of allied health teams, working alongside physicians and primary care partners to design initiatives that reflect neighbourhood-level needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments and environmental scans to guide planning, program development, and strategic decision-making.
  • Strengthen partnerships with Primary Care, Ontario Health Teams, Community Health and Resource Centres, and broader service networks to support coordinated, integrated service delivery.
